śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca
mūrdhnā nipatya niyatastejaḥ-saṃnicaye tataḥ |
parama-harṣam āgatya bhagavantam athābruvam ||
قال شري كريشنا: «يا بهاراتا! بعد ذلك، وقد ضبطتُ ذهني، انحنيتُ برأسي وسجدتُ بين يدي الربّ المبارك شِيفا، القائم ككتلةٍ مركّزة من الإشراق الإلهي. ثم، وقد امتلأتُ فرحًا عظيمًا، خاطبتُ ذلك الربّ—»
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse models dharmic devotion: true approach to the divine begins with inner restraint (niyataḥ) and outward humility (prostration). Ethical power is grounded in self-mastery and reverence, not entitlement.
Kṛṣṇa, after controlling his mind, bows and prostrates before Śiva—described as a concentrated mass of radiance—and, filled with joy, begins to speak to him, setting up the ensuing dialogue about Śiva’s grace and glory.
