Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma
gṛhāṇi ca mahāhāṇi candraśubhrāṇi bhāmini | bhāmini! vedīparaśayana-karmaṇā prāpyaphalāni evaṃ proktāni—savārī, śayyā, ca candramā-sadṛśa-ujjvalāni bahumūlyāni gṛhāṇi |
The verse teaches a karmic-ethical linkage: disciplined ritual observance (here, sleeping upon the altar-platform as a prescribed act) is said to yield concrete rewards—status and comfort symbolized by conveyances, beds, and radiant, valuable dwellings.
Śrī Maheśvara addresses a woman (bhāminī), describing and offering/pointing to the fruits of a specific observance connected with the vedī (altar). The statement functions as a promise of merit’s results within a didactic discourse on vows and their rewards.
