Steady commitment to dharma makes a person worthy of honor from sages, gods, and ancestors, and it brings lasting prosperity and moral steadfastness.
Skanda is instructing about the fruits of righteous conduct: the dharma-practitioner gains approval and reverence from higher orders (ṛṣis, devatās, pitṛs) and remains continually inclined toward dharma.
