प्रजा विवर्धते चास्य अक्षयं चोपतिष्ठति । यही श्राद्धकी विधि बतायी गयी है

prajā vivardhate cāsya akṣayaṃ copatiṣṭhati |

قال بهيشما: من سار على هذه الشعيرة المقرّرة للشِّرادها (śrāddha) ازدهر نسلُه، وقامت إلى جانبه بركةٌ لا تنفد. فمثل هذا الالتزام يمنع انحطاط الدهرما؛ ويُبقي الأسلاف (Pitṛs) على الدوام راضين مسرورين، ويضمن أن تتكاثر ذريته بلا نقصان.
