Umā’s Inquiry and the Manifestation of the Third Eye (उमा–प्रश्नः तृतीयनेत्रोत्पत्तिः)

केन वृत्तेन कल्याणि समाचारेण केन वा | विधूय सर्वपापानि देवलोक॑ त्वमागता,“कल्याणि! तुमने किस बर्ताव अथवा किस सदाचारके प्रभावसे समस्त पापोंका नाश करके देवलोकमें पदार्पण किया है?

bhīṣma uvāca | kena vṛttena kalyāṇi samācāreṇa kena vā | vidhūya sarvapāpāni devalokaṁ tvam āgatā ||

قال بهيشما: «يا ذاتَ اليُمنِ والبركة، بأيِّ سيرةٍ عشتِ، أو بأيِّ نهجٍ من حُسنِ السلوك، نفضتِ عنكِ جميعَ الآثام وبلغتِ عالمَ الآلهة؟ أيُّ انضباطٍ أخلاقيٍّ حملكِ إلى السماء؟»
