A dhārmic person becomes a universal refuge and a trusted presence by practicing non-harm in speech and conduct: he neither unsettles others nor allows himself to be shaken by provocation.
In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues his instruction on righteous living, describing the marks of a virtuous person whose steadiness and harmlessness make him trusted by all beings.
