मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
गन्धर्वैरप्सरोभिश्व दिव्यमाल्यानुलेपनै:
gandharvair apsarobhiś ca divya-mālyānulepanaiḥ
قال بهيشما: «(هو/هم) تُحيط بهم خدمة الغندهرفا والأبساراس، مزدانين بأكاليل سماوية وبأدهانٍ عطرة.»
भीष्म उवाच
The verse evokes the imagery of heavenly attendants and divine adornments to indicate the fruits of merit and righteous conduct: dharmic living is portrayed as leading to honor, beauty, and auspicious companionship in higher realms.
Bhīṣma is describing a celestial scene—Gandharvas and Apsarases attending someone (or a blessed soul), with divine garlands and perfumes—typically as part of a larger passage praising the rewards that follow virtuous deeds.
