يعلّم بهيشما قواعد الانضباط الشخصي في اللباس: «لا ينبغي أن يلبس المرء ثوبًا لبسه غيره، ولا أن يرتدي ما تمزّق طرفه. وليكن للنوم ثوبٌ غير ثوب الخروج إلى الطرقات، ولعبادة الآلهة ثوبٌ آخر مخصّص. فالمغزى الأخلاقي هو النظافة واللياقة والتوقير: ما يُستعمل في الشأن العام لا يُستعمل في الخدمة الطقسية المقدّسة.»
