ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage

ऑपन-माजल बछ। डे अष्टसप्ततितमोब< ध्याय: देवयानी और शर्मिष्ठाका कलह, शर्मिष्ठाद्वारा कुएँमें गिरायी गयी देवयानीको ययातिका निकालना और देवयानीका शुक्राचार्यजीके साथ वार्तालाप वैशम्पायन उवाच कृतविद्ये कचे प्राप्ते हृष्टरूपा दिवौकस: । कचादधीत्य तां विद्यां कृतार्था भरतर्षभ,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! जब कच मृतसंजीवनी विद्या सीखकर आ गये, तब देवताओंको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई। वे कचसे उस विद्याको पढ़कर कृतार्थ हो गये

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | kṛtavidye kace prāpte hṛṣṭarūpā divaukasaḥ | kacād adhītya tāṃ vidyāṃ kṛtārthā bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

قال فايشَمبايانا: يا ثورَ آلِ بهاراتا، لما عاد كَچا وقد أتقن علمَ الإحياء (مِرِتَسَنْجِيفَنِي)، غمرتِ الفرحةُ أهلَ السماء. وإذ تعلّموا ذلك العلم بعينه من كَچا، رأوا أن غايتهم قد تحققت.
