Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent
न निवर्तेत् पुनर्जीवन् कश्चिदन्यो ममोदरात् । ब्राह्मणं वर्जयित्वैंकं तस्माद् विद्यामवाप्रुहि,केवल एक ब्राह्णको छोड़कर दूसरा कोई ऐसा नहीं है, जो मेरे पेटसे पुनः जीवित निकल सके। इसलिये तुम विद्या ग्रहण करो
na nivartet punarjīvan kaścid anyo mamodarāt | brāhmaṇaṁ varjayitvaikaṁ tasmād vidyām avāpruhi ||
قال شُكرا: «لا أحدَ غيرُ برهميٍّ واحدٍ يستطيع أن يخرج من بطني حيّاً مرةً أخرى. فلهذا اطلبْ هذه المعرفةَ وانَلْها.»
