Educational Q&A

Properly performed worship and the presence of disciplined ritual specialists (dvijas) can transform a place into an experience of the divine; reverence and right conduct elevate perception and cultivate humility even in a king.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that King Duṣyanta, upon witnessing Brahmins conducting temple worship according to established rites, feels such sanctity and splendor that he believes he has reached Brahmaloka.
