त॑ चापि पुरुषव्याप्रो बाहुवीयेण पाण्डव: । निहत्य तरसा वीरो नागरान् पर्यसान्त्वयत्,नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डुनन्दन वीरवर भीमने अपने बाहुबलसे उस राक्षसको वेगपूर्वक मारकर वहाँके नगरनिवासियोंको धैर्य बँधाया
taṁ cāpi puruṣavyāghro bāhuvīryeṇa pāṇḍavaḥ | nihatya tarasā vīro nāgarān paryasāntvayat ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: ذلك الباندافيّ البطل، نمرُ الرجال، قتل الرّاكشا بقوة ذراعيه وحدها وبسرعةٍ خاطفة؛ ثم طمأن أهل المدينة—فأعاد إليهم الشجاعةَ وإحساسَ الأمان بعد ما ذاقوه من رعب.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Heroism is not only defeating a threat but also restoring social order and confidence; strength is ethically completed by protection and reassurance of the vulnerable.
Bhīma, described as a foremost man, kills a rākṣasa with great force and then consoles the frightened townspeople, calming them after the danger has been removed.
