अपरे त्वब्रुवन् नागा धर्मात्मानो दयालव: । अबुद्धिरेषा भवतां ब्रह्महत्या न शोभनम्,यह सुनकर दूसरे धर्मात्मा और दयालु नागोंने कहा--'ऐसा सोचना तुम्हारी मूर्खता है। ब्रह्म-हत्या कभी शुभकारक नहीं हो सकती
apare tv abruvan nāgā dharmātmāno dayālavaḥ | abuddhir eṣā bhavatāṁ brahmahatyā na śobhanam ||
فلما سمع ذلك ناغا آخرون—أهلَ صلاحٍ ورحمة—قالوا: «إن هذا التفكيرَ منكم حماقة. وقتلُ البراهمة لا يليق أبدًا، ولا يمكن أن يفضي إلى يُمنٍ أو خير.»
