Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta
tac chrutvā vibudhā vākyam vismitā yatnam āsthitāḥ | parivāryāmṛtaṃ tasthur vajrī cendraḥ pratāpavān ||
The verse highlights dharmic vigilance: when a precious and potentially disruptive power (amṛta) is at stake, responsible guardianship and disciplined effort are required to prevent misuse and preserve cosmic order.
After hearing Kaśyapa’s statement, the gods are amazed and immediately take defensive positions around the amṛta. Indra, armed with the vajra, stands firmly among them to protect it.
