ततस्तं ज्वलितं दृष्टवा ज्वलनं ते विहंगमा: । जरितारिस्ततो वाक्यं श्रावयामास पावकम्,तब उस जलती हुई आगको देखकर वे पक्षी आपसमें वार्तालाप करने लगे। उनमेंसे जरितारिने अग्निदेवको यह बात सुनायी
tatas taṃ jvalitaṃ dṛṣṭvā jvalanaṃ te vihaṅgamāḥ | jaritāris tato vākyaṃ śrāvayāmāsa pāvakam ||
ثم لما رأوا تلك النار المتّقدة، أخذت الطيور تتشاور فيما بينها. ومن بينهم نقل جارِتاري كلامهم إلى بافاكا (أغني)، فأسمع إلهَ النار ما كان يُقال.
