त्वामष्टधा कल्पयित्वा यज्ञवाहमकल्पयन् । त्वया विश्वमिदं सृष्टं वदन्ति परमर्षय:,आपको ही पृथ्वी, जल, तेज, वायु, आकाश, सूर्य, चन्द्रमा और यजमान--इन आठ मूर्तियोंमें विभक्त करके ज्ञानी पुरुषोंने आपको यज्ञवाहन बनाया है। महर्षि कहते हैं कि इस सम्पूर्ण विश्वकी सृष्टि आपने ही की है
tvām aṣṭadhā kalpayitvā yajñavāham akalpayan | tvayā viśvam idaṁ sṛṣṭaṁ vadanti paramarṣayaḥ ||
وقد تصوّرك الحكماء في ثماني صور، فأقاموك حاملًا وواسطةً للقربان (اليَجْنَة). ويعلن أعظم الرائين أن هذا الكون كلَّه قد انبثق بك.
