स समं धर्मकामार्थान् सिषेवे भरतर्षभ । त्रीनिवात्मसमान् बन्धून् नीतिमानिव मानयन्,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महाराज युधिष्छिर नीतिज्ञ पुरुषकी भाँति धर्म, अर्थ और काम इन तीनोंको आत्माके समान प्रिय बन्धु मानते हुए न्याय और समतापूर्वक इनका सेवन करते थे
sa samaṃ dharmakāmārthān siṣeve bharatarṣabha | trīn ivātmasamān bandhūn nītimān iva mānayan ||
قال فَيْشَمْبايَنَة: «يا ثورَ آلِ بهاراتا، لقد سلك طريق الدَّرْمَة والأَرْثَة والكَامَة على سواءٍ وبميزان. وكالرجل الحصيف في السياسة، أكرم هذه الثلاثة كأنها أقاربُ أحبّاء مساوون لذاته، فانتفع بها بعدلٍ وضبطٍ للنفس لا بإفراط.»
