नारद उवाच
This line functions as a colophon marking the close of a chapter and situating it within the larger narrative framework: it highlights themes of rightful kingship and the role of wise counsel (associated with Vidura and Nārada) in guiding a dharmic ruler like Yudhiṣṭhira.
The text is concluding the chapter: it states that the 207th chapter ends here, within the Ādi Parva, in the subsection about Vidura’s arrival and the gaining of the kingdom, during the conversation between Yudhiṣṭhira and the sage Nārada.
