तयोरविवदतोरेवं समीपमुपचक्रमे । ऋषिरुग्रतपा: पार्थ विश्वामित्र: प्रतापवान्,अर्जुन! जब राजा तथा ऋषिषपुत्र दोनों इस प्रकार विवाद कर रहे थे, उग्रतपस्वी प्रतापी विश्वामित्र मुनि उनके निकट चले गये
tayor avivadator evaṁ samīpam upacakrame | ṛṣir ugratapāḥ pārtha viśvāmitraḥ pratāpavān ||
يا بارثا، وبينما كان الاثنان يواصلان جدالهما على هذا النحو، دنا منهما الحكيم الجليل فيشفاميترا، المشهور بتقشّفه الشديد وبأسه.
