Shloka 16
एवमुक््त्वा महाभाग: पाण्डवान् स पितामह: । पार्थानामन्त्र्य कुन्तीं च प्रातिष्ठत महातपा:,महान् सौभाग्यशाली और महातपस्वी पितामह व्यासजी पाण्डवोंसे ऐसा कहकर उन सबसे और कुन्तीसे विदा ले वहाँसे चल दिये
evam uktvā mahābhāgaḥ pāṇḍavān sa pitāmahaḥ | pārthān āmantya kuntīṃ ca prātiṣṭhata mahātapāḥ ||
فلما قال ذلك، استأذن الجدّ الجليل—فيدا فياسا، العظيم في الزهد والتقشّف—الانصراف من الباندافا ومن كونتي أيضًا. وبعد أن ودّع أبناء بريثا، غادر ذلك الموضع.
