Chapter 157
सो<यं ते बन्धुकामाया अशृण्वत्या वचो मम । बन्धुप्रणाश: सम्प्राप्तो भृशं॑ दुः:खकरो मम,तुमने बंधु-बान्धवोंके साथ रहनेकी इच्छा रखकर जो मेरी बात नहीं सुनी, उसीका यह फल है कि आज समस्त भाई-बंधुओंके विनाशकी घड़ी आ पहुँची है, जो मेरे लिये अत्यन्त दुःखका कारण है
so ’yaṁ te bandhukāmāyā aśṛṇvatyā vaco mama | bandhu-praṇāśaḥ samprāpto bhṛśaṁ duḥkha-karo mama ||
«لأنكِ، بدافع الرغبة في البقاء بين ذويكِ، لم تُصغي إلى قولي، فقد جاء الجزاء: لقد حانت الآن ساعةُ هلاك أقربائكِ—وهو أمرٌ يملأ قلبي حزنًا عظيمًا».
