सुनृशंसमिदं कर्म तेषां क्रूरोपसंहितम् । कीर्तयस्व यथावृत्तं परं कौतूहलं मम,क्रूर कणिकके उपदेशसे किया हुआ कौरवोंका यह कर्म अत्यन्त निर्दयतापूर्ण था। आप उसका ठीक-ठीक वर्णन कीजिये। मुझे यह सब सुननेके लिये बड़ी उत्कण्ठा हो रही है
Janamejaya uvāca |
sunṛśaṁsam idaṁ karma teṣāṁ krūropasaṁhitam |
kīrtayasva yathāvṛttaṁ paraṁ kautūhalaṁ mama ||
قال جاناميچايا: «إن فعلهم هذا كان بالغ القسوة، مصوغًا في إطار من الوحشية. فاقصصه عليّ كما وقع تمامًا؛ فإن شوقي إلى سماع الخبر كاملًا شديد».
