ततः सर्वस्य रज्गस्य हाहाकारो महानभूत् । साधुवादानुसम्बद्धः सूर्य श्षास्तमुपागमत्,यह सुनकर समूचे रंगमण्डपमें दुर्योधनको मिलने-वाले साधुवादके साथ ही (युद्धकी सम्भावनासे) महान् हाहाकार मच गया। इतनेमें ही सूर्यदेव अस्ताचलको चले गये
tataḥ sarvasya raṅgasya hāhākāro mahān abhūt | sādhuvādānusambaddhaḥ sūryaḥ śāstam upāgamat ||
ثم ارتفع في أرجاء الحلبة كلها ضجيجٌ عظيم—مختلطٌ بالهتاف والتصفيق استحسانًا (لدوريودَهانا)، ومظلَّلٌ باحتمال اندلاع القتال. وفي تلك الأثناء كانت الشمس تميل إلى الغروب، متجهةً نحو الأفق الغربي.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Public praise and spectacle can intensify rivalry; collective emotion in an assembly may quickly turn into agitation, hinting at how pride and factional approval can propel society toward conflict.
In the arena, loud acclamations—associated with Duryodhana—blend with a widespread uproar, suggesting rising tension and the possibility of war; at the same time, the sun sets, marking the close of the day and symbolically underscoring the gathering darkness of discord.
