भासं पश्यसि यद्येनं तथा ब्रूहि पुनर्वच: । शिर: पश्यामि भासस्य न गात्रमिति सो<ब्रवीत्,“वत्स! यदि तुम इस गीधको देखते हो तो फिर बताओ, उसके अंग कैसे हैं?” अर्जुन बोले--'मैं गीधका मस्तकभर देख रहा हूँ, उसके सम्पूर्ण शरीरको नहीं”
vaiśampāyana uvāca | bhāsaṃ paśyasi yady enaṃ tathā brūhi punarvacaḥ | śiraḥ paśyāmi bhāsasya na gātram iti so ’bravīt ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «إن كنت ترى ذلك البهاسا حقًّا فقل مرة أخرى: ماذا ترى على وجه الدقة؟» فقال أرجونا: «لا أرى إلا رأس الطائر، ولا أرى جسده».
