विकारं न हाृजनयत् सुतीक्षणमपि तद् विषम् । भीमसंहनने भीमे अजीर्यत वृकोदरे,यद्यपि वह विष बड़ा तेज था, तो भी उनके लिये कोई बिगाड़ न कर सका। भयंकर शरीरवाले भीमसेनके उदरमें वृक नामकी अग्नि थी; अतः वहाँ जाकर वह विष पच गया
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
vikāraṃ na hājanayat sutīkṣṇam api tad viṣam |
bhīmasaṃhanane bhīme ajīryata vṛkodare ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: إن ذلك السُّمَّ، على شدّة حدّته وقوّة أثره، لم يُحدِث في بهيما أيَّ تغيّرٍ مُؤذٍ. ففي بهيما المهيب، ذي البنية الجبّارة، هُضِم السُّمُّ في بطن فِركودارا؛ إذ التهمته نارُه الباطنة، فخابت نيّة الإيذاء.
