शुश्रूषुरनहंवादी संयतात्मा जितेन्द्रिय: । स्वर्ग गन्तुं पराक्रान्तः स्वेन वीर्येण भारत,भारत! वे ऋषि-मुनियोंकी सेवा करते, अहंकारसे दूर रहते और मनको वशगमें रखते थे। उन्होंने सम्पूर्ण इन्द्रियोंको जीत लिया था। वे अपनी ही शक्तिसे स्वर्गलोकमें जानेके लिये सदा सचेष्ट रहने लगे

śuśrūṣur anahaṃvādī saṃyatātmā jitendriyaḥ | svargaṃ gantuṃ parākrāntaḥ svena vīryeṇa bhārata ||

قال فَيْشَمْبَايَنَة: «يا بهاراتا، كان حريصًا على الخدمة، منزَّهًا عن الكِبْر، ضابطًا لنفسه، قاهرًا لحواسّه. وبالاعتماد على قوّته هو وبسعيٍ منضبط، ظلّ يجاهد لبلوغ عالم السماء.»
