वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is upheld through disciplined reverence: honoring realized sages with proper ritual (vidhivat) and mantra-recitation reflects humility, social-ethical order, and respect for spiritual authority.
After an earlier development in the episode, the officiating priest performs a formal worship for a great sage, following prescribed rites and mantras; the sage accepts the honor graciously, indicating approval and the successful completion of the ritual exchange.
