अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायः (Anukramaṇikā Adhyāya) — Invocation, Narrator Frame, and Textual Scope
श्रुत्वा तु मम वाक्यानि बुद्धियुक्तानि तत्त्वतः । ततो ज्ञास्यसि मां सौते प्रज्ञाचक्षुषमित्युत,सूतनन्दन! मेरे उन बुद्धिमत्तापूर्ण वचनोंको सुनकर तुम ठीक-ठीक समझ लोगे कि मैं कितना प्रज्ञाचक्षु हूँ
śrutvā tu mama vākyāni buddhiyuktāni tattvataḥ | tato jñāsyasi māṃ saute prajñācakṣuṣam ity uta ||
«ولكنك إذا سمعتَ كلماتي—وقد نُطِقَت ببصيرةٍ وقامت على الحق—فستعلم حينئذٍ، يا سوتي، أني ذو نظرٍ تهديه الحكمة.»
