Adhyaya 61 — ग्रह-नक्षत्र-स्थाननिर्णयः
Cosmic Abodes of Luminaries and the Shaiva Order of Time
घनतोयात्मकं तत्र मण्डलं शशिनः स्मृतम् घनतेजोमयं शुक्लं मण्डलं भास्करस्य तु
ghanatoyātmakaṃ tatra maṇḍalaṃ śaśinaḥ smṛtam ghanatejomayaṃ śuklaṃ maṇḍalaṃ bhāskarasya tu
هناك يُعلَّم أن قرص القمر (Śaśin) ذو طبيعة الماء المتكاثف؛ أمّا قرص الشمس (Bhāskara) فهو كرةٌ بيضاء ساطعة مؤلَّفة من إشراقٍ مُركَّز. وهكذا يميّز البورانا مبدأ القمر المُبرِّد المُغذّي عن قدرة الشمس المُتَّقدة المُنيرة—وكلاهما يعمل ضمن النظام الكوني لِشِيفا، الذي يقيّد ويهدي الـpaśu (النفس المتجسّدة) إلى التمييز القويم.
