Adhyaya 4: अहोरात्र-युग-मन्वन्तर-कल्पमान तथा प्रलयान्ते सृष्ट्युपक्रमः
चत्वारिंशत्सहस्राणि तथान्यानि कृतं युगम् तथा दशसहस्राणां वर्षाणां शतसंख्यया
catvāriṃśatsahasrāṇi tathānyāni kṛtaṃ yugam tathā daśasahasrāṇāṃ varṣāṇāṃ śatasaṃkhyayā
يُقال إنَّ كِرتا (ساتيا) يوجا تبلغ أربعين ألف سنة، ومعها سنونٌ أُخَر تُضاف تتميماً؛ وتُحسَب بعدِّ مئاتٍ من عشراتِ الألوف من السنين.
