muhūrtapañcadaśikā rajanī tādṛśaṃ tvahaḥ pitrye rātryahanī māsaḥ pravibhāgastayoḥ punaḥ
Suta Goswami
It establishes sacred time-units (muhūrta, day/night, month) that underpin proper observance of Shiva-pūjā, śrāddha, and vrata timings—rituals performed by the paśu (soul) to loosen pāśa (bondage) through dharma under Pati (Shiva).
By outlining the cosmic regulation of time across realms, it implies Kāla’s ordered functioning within the created domains—ultimately subordinate to Pati, the Lord who transcends yet governs temporal measures in the manifest universe.
Ritual timing is highlighted: knowing muhūrta-based divisions and Pitṛ-month reckoning supports correct śrāddha and ancestral rites, which in Shaiva practice accompany Shiva-pūjā as a discipline of purity and karmic settlement.
