إن «غارودا بورانا» كتابٌ ذو ثواب، مُطهِّر، مُزيلٌ للآثام. ومن يصغي إليه تُقضى رغباته المحبوبة؛ فلذلك ينبغي سماعه في كل حين.

Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: textual/recitational setting
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 2.49.133 (hearing followed by dāna and observances); Garuda Purana 2.49.134 (honoring text and reciter)
This verse states that hearing the Garuḍa Purāṇa is itself purifying, destroys sins, and brings desired outcomes—hence it is recommended as a regular spiritual practice.
By praising the text as pāpa-nāśana (sin-destroying) and pavitra (purifying), it frames the Purāṇa’s afterlife instructions as spiritually protective—supporting right conduct and preparedness for post-death passages described in the Preta Kāṇḍa.
Practice regular śravaṇa/paṭhana (listening/reading) of the Garuḍa Purāṇa with ethical living; treat it as a discipline for purification, repentance, and strengthening dharmic intentions.
