بعد كنس الموضع وطلائه بطبقةٍ مطهِّرة، يُعلَّم موضع المذبح وتُهَيَّأ منصّةُ الفِدِيكَا؛ ثم يُرشّ بالماء الطاهر، ويُوقَد هناك النّارُ المقدّسة وتُثبَّت وفق الشعيرة المقرّرة.
