विवाहोत्सवयज्ञेषु अन्तरा मृतसूतके / पूर्वसङ्कल्पितं वित्तं भोज्यं तन्मनुरब्रवीत्

في الأعراس والاحتفالات والقرابين (اليَجْنَا)، وإن تخلّل مِرْتَ-سوتَكا (mṛta-sūtaka: نجاسةٌ بسبب الموت)، فقد قرّر مانو أن الطعام والنفقة اللذين سُبِقا بعزمٍ مُعلنٍ من قبل يجوز استعمالهما، وأن إطعام المدعوّين يمكن أن يستمرّ.
