मृतस्य धर्ममात्रानुयायित्वनिरूपणं नाम द्वादशो ऽध्यायः गरुड उवाच / कर्मणा केन देवेश प्रेतत्वं नैव जायते / पृथिव्यां सर्वजन्तूनां तद् ब्रूहि परमेश्वर

mṛtasya dharmamātrānuyāyitvanirūpaṇaṃ nāma dvādaśo 'dhyāyaḥ garuḍa uvāca / karmaṇā kena deveśa pretatvaṃ naiva jāyate / pṛthivyāṃ sarvajantūnāṃ tad brūhi parameśvara
