Śrīnivāsa at Svāmipuṣkariṇī: Darśana, Stotra, the Secret Veṅkaṭeśa Mantra, and the Meaning of “Vyaṅkaṭeśa”
अनेन मन्त्रेण तवेप्सितं च भवेद्धि कन्ये नान्त्र विचार्यमस्ति / एवं स उक्त्वा श्रीनिवासो हरिस्तु प्रतीकवद्दर्शयामास रूपम्
anena mantreṇa tavepsitaṃ ca bhaveddhi kanye nāntra vicāryamasti / evaṃ sa uktvā śrīnivāso haristu pratīkavaddarśayāmāsa rūpam
«بهذا المانترا، أيتها العذراء، إن ما تتمنّينه سيتحقق حقًّا؛ ولا حاجة لمزيد من التروّي هنا». ثم بعد أن قال ذلك، أظهر شْرِينيفاسا—هاري—هيئته المقدّسة كأنها آيةٌ مرئية.
Lord Vishnu (Hari/Śrīnivāsa)
Concept: Mantra, when received/applied with faith, culminates in divine darśana and fulfillment of rightful desire by Hari’s grace.
Vedantic Theme: Īśvara-anugraha as the decisive factor; the Lord becomes pratyakṣa to the devoted mind (bhakta-citta-viṣayīkaraṇa).
Application: Undertake japa with steadiness and śraddhā; reduce over-deliberation once dharmic guidance is clear; seek darśana through disciplined devotion.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shringara
Related Themes: Garuda Purana (Uttara/Brāhma-khaṇḍa) narratives of Śrīnivāsa/Venkateśa darśana and mantra-phala (contextual)
This verse highlights a key Purāṇic theme: when a mantra is properly given and trusted, its intended fruit is affirmed by divine authority—removing doubt and hesitation.
After giving firm instruction, Hari “shows his form” as a confirming sign (pratīka)—indicating that spiritual truths are validated not only by words but also by direct divine demonstration.
Commit to disciplined practice with faith: once you receive a sound method (mantra/prayer/discipline), avoid endless second-guessing and follow through with steadiness and ethical intent.
