Lord Vishnu (teaching Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Caturvyūha-style emanation: Vāsudeva → Saṅkarṣaṇa; identification with sūtra/Vāyu as the subtle connective principle; the Supreme Self as pūrṇa-saṃvit (complete consciousness).
Vedantic Theme: Antaryāmin and sarva-vyāptitva (immanence and pervasion); consciousness as the ground of cosmic functions.
Application: Meditate on prāṇa as a doorway to the pervading Self: regulate breath with remembrance of the Supreme as the inner thread connecting all experience.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
Related Themes: Garuda Purana: prāṇa/antaryāmin motifs in mokṣa sections; Garuda Purana: vyūha-name occurrences (Vāsudeva, Saṅkarṣaṇa, Pradyumna, Aniruddha)
This verse presents Saṅkarṣaṇa as an emanation of Vasudeva embodying all auspicious qualities, functioning as a key principle through which creation is set into motion.
It describes Vāyu as ‘sūtra-bhūta’—a subtle thread-like life-force that links and sustains the created order under the guidance of the fully conscious Paramātman.
Cultivate steadiness and clarity (saṁvit) through disciplined breath and dharma-centered living, remembering life-force as sacred and supportive of all beings.
