Related Themes: Garuda Purana: extensive śrāddha/pitṛ discussions elsewhere; here a nitya-tarpaṇa/svādhyāya emphasis (thematic)
This verse links Pitṛ-satisfaction with daily dharmic practice—offering (honey and ghee) and svādhyāya (Vedic recitation)—showing that honoring ancestors is sustained by regular discipline, not only occasional rites.
By emphasizing Vedic recitation and ancestral offerings, the verse points to dharma and ritual merit as supports for auspicious post-death outcomes—strengthening one’s spiritual foundation and ancestral connections that are repeatedly referenced in afterlife discussions.
Maintain a consistent daily spiritual routine: recite sacred texts/mantras (as per one’s tradition) and perform simple ancestor-remembrance offerings or prayers, cultivating steadiness in dharma and gratitude to lineage.
