إنّ الاستعدادَ للسعادةِ والحزنِ الحقّين إنما يقومُ على التعلّقِ بعناقِ ما يُحبّ وما لا يُحبّ. والطهارةُ ظاهرًا وباطنًا، وكفُّ اللسان، وسلوكُ حياةِ التأمّل (الدهْيانا)—هي رياضاتٌ تُفضي إلى الثباتِ وحُسنِ السلوك.
