FAQs

This verse presents a practical rakṣā-upāya: when objects are ritually empowered (saṃmantrya) and correctly installed, they are said to avert specific external harms—here, lightning and thunder-related calamities.

It does not directly address the soul’s journey or afterlife; instead, it focuses on worldly protection (rakṣā) through mantra and correct ritual placement in a field.

As a takeaway, it emphasizes disciplined ritual intention and dharmic care for livelihood (fields/land); in modern practice, it can be treated as a traditional devotional rite alongside sensible physical safety measures for storms.
