يُقال إنَّ لِطاخَةَ اللَّجّالُو (نبات الحسّاس) والسَّرَبُنْخَا (śarapuṅkhā) إذا مُزِجَت بالسَّمْنِ المُصفّى (ghee) تُطفئُ النارَ أو تَدفعُ لهيبَها. (ويُستعمل معها المانترا:) «أوم، نَمو بهَغَوَتِه—ṭha ṭha؛ اقطع اقطع؛ أَفْنِ أَفْنِ النارَ المتَّقِدةَ المشتعلةَ—هُوم فَتْ».
