लज्जालोः शरपुङ्खाया लेपः साज्यो ऽग्निनाशनः / ॐ नमो भगवते ठ ठ छिन्धि छिन्धि ज्वलनं प्रज्वलितं नाशय नाशय हुं फट्

lajjāloḥ śarapuṅkhāyā lepaḥ sājyo 'gnināśanaḥ / oṃ namo bhagavate ṭha ṭha chindhi chindhi jvalanaṃ prajvalitaṃ nāśaya nāśaya huṃ phaṭ

يُقال إنَّ لِطاخَةَ اللَّجّالُو (نبات الحسّاس) والسَّرَبُنْخَا (śarapuṅkhā) إذا مُزِجَت بالسَّمْنِ المُصفّى (ghee) تُطفئُ النارَ أو تَدفعُ لهيبَها. (ويُستعمل معها المانترا:) «أوم، نَمو بهَغَوَتِه—ṭha ṭha؛ اقطع اقطع؛ أَفْنِ أَفْنِ النارَ المتَّقِدةَ المشتعلةَ—هُوم فَتْ».
