फाणितं पित्तलं तव्रिं सुरा मत्स्यण्डिका लघुः / खण्डं वृष्यं तथा स्निग्धं स्वाद्वसृक्पित्तवातजित्

phāṇitaṃ pittalaṃ tavriṃ surā matsyaṇḍikā laghuḥ / khaṇḍaṃ vṛṣyaṃ tathā snigdhaṃ svādvasṛkpittavātajit

الفانيتا (phāṇita)، وهو دِبسُ القصبِ الكثيف، مُثيرٌ لبيتّا (pitta) وشديدُ الأثر؛ وكذلك السُّرَا (surā) أي الخمرُ المُخمَّر. أمّا السكرُ المتبلور (matsyaṇḍikā) فخفيف. والسكرُ المُنقّى (khaṇḍa) مُثيرٌ للباه ودُهنيٌّ لطيف؛ حلوٌ ويَغلِبُ اضطراباتِ الدم وبيتّا (pitta) وفاتا (vāta).
