تتهيج «پِتّا» (Pitta) بالمذاق الحارّ والحامض، وبالعوامل الحادّة والساخنة، وباعتياد الحِدّة، وبالغضب، وبما يُحدث إحساس الاحتراق؛ كما تزداد في الخريف، وعند الظهيرة، وعند منتصف الليل، وفي الأزمنة التي يغلب فيها الإحساس بالحرقة.
