قال براهما: «يا أيها البراهمن، في شهر بهادرابادا (Bhādrapada)، بعد صيامك في اليوم القمري الثامن من النصف المضيء، فاعبد شيفا بالثمار والزهور، ومع ذلك قدّم عشب دورفا (Dūrvā)، ووقّر سوريا (Sūrya، إله الشمس) وغانِيشا (Gaṇeśa).»
