في شهر شرافَنا (Śrāvaṇa) تُقدَّم أزهار الكارافيرا (karavīra) إلى شَمبهو (شيفا)، حامل الرمح الثلاثي. وكذلك يُجرى طقس تطهير الكارافيرا بالطيوب وبالسمن المصفّى (ghee) وما شابهه.
