तस्मात्सर्गादयो जाताः संपूज्याश्च व्रतादिना / पुराणं गारुडं व्यासः पुरासौ मे ऽब्रवीदिदम्

tasmātsargādayo jātāḥ saṃpūjyāśca vratādinā / purāṇaṃ gāruḍaṃ vyāsaḥ purāsau me 'bravīdidam

فلذلك، من ذلك الأصل الأوّل نشأت الخليقة وما يتبعها؛ وهي جديرة بأن تُكرَّم على الوجه اللائق بالنذور المقدّسة (ڤْرَتَة) وسائر المراسم. وهذا «غارودا بورانا» قد حدّثني به قديمًا الحكيم ڤياسا.
