Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya Resolve and the Slaying of Jarāsandha
श्रीशुक उवाच एकदा तु सभामध्य आस्थितो मुनिभिर्वृत: । ब्राह्मणै: क्षत्रियैर्वैश्यैर्भ्रातृभिश्च युधिष्ठिर: ॥ १ ॥ आचार्यै: कुलवृद्धैश्च ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिबान्धवै: । शृण्वतामेव चैतेषामाभाष्येदमुवाच ह ॥ २ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ekadā tu sabhā-madhya āsthito munibhir vṛtaḥ brāhmaṇaiḥ kṣatriyair vaiśyair bhrātṛbhiś ca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ
قال شري شوكاديفا غوسوامي: ذات يوم جلس الملك يودهيشثيرا في وسط مجلسه الملكي، محاطًا بالحكماء والبراهمة والكشاتريا والفيشيا، وكذلك بإخوته. وبينما كان المعلمون الروحيون وشيوخ العشيرة والأقارب والأصهار والأصدقاء يصغون، توجّه إلى الربّ شري كريشنا وخاطبه بهذه الكلمات.
Śukadeva describes a scene where King Yudhiṣṭhira sits in the assembly surrounded by sages, social orders, elders, and relatives, and then begins to address them—setting the context for the counsel or decision that follows.
