The Syamantaka Jewel: Accusation, Recovery, and Kṛṣṇa’s Marriage to Satyabhāmā
एष आयाति सविता त्वां दिदृक्षुर्जगत्पते । मुष्णन् गभस्तिचक्रेण नृणां चक्षूंषि तिग्मगु: ॥ ७ ॥
eṣa āyāti savitā tvāṁ didṛkṣur jagat-pate muṣṇan gabhasti-cakreṇa nṛṇāṁ cakṣūṁṣi tigma-guḥ
يا ربَّ الكون! لقد جاء الإله سَفِيتا ليراك؛ وبعجلة أشعّته الحادّة المتلألئة كأنه يُعمي عيون الناس.
It poetically declares that even the sun-god approaches as if eager to behold Śrī Kṛṣṇa, acknowledging Him as Jagatpati (Lord of the universe), though the sun’s intense rays overwhelm mortal eyesight.
Within the Syamantaka-jewel narrative, Jāmbavān recognizes Kṛṣṇa’s supreme position and offers reverent praise, confessing that even cosmic powers like the sun operate under His lordship.
