Sukta 1
सं माग्ने वर्चसा सृज सं प्रजया समायुषा । विद्युर्मे अस्य देवा इन्द्रो विद्यात् सह ऋषिभिः
sáṃ mā́gne várcasā sr̥ja sáṃ prajā́yā sáṃ ā́yuṣā | vidyúr me asyá devā́ índro vidyāt sahá ŕ̥ṣibhiḥ ||
Unite me, O Agni, with splendour; unite me with offspring, unite me with length of life. Let the Gods take knowledge of this man of mine; let Indra take knowledge, together with the Seers.
اجمعني، يا أغني، مع البهاء؛ واجمعني مع الذرية؛ واجمعني مع طول العمر. فلتعرفِ الآلهةُ هذا الرجلَ لي؛ وليعرفْه إندرا، مع الرِّشيّين.
