تسعى هذه التعويذة الوقائية–السحرية المضادّة ذات البيت الواحد إلى «التحرّر من اللعنة» (śāpa-mocanam) بردّ اللعنات العدائية إلى مصدرها. وتتخيّل قوّة اللاعن تُضرَب كالشجرة بالصاعقة فتذبل من الجذر، مؤكِّدة انقلابًا تامًّا وقطعَ ما تستند إليه اللعنة.
